Welcome…

I’m Annaleigh. I’m a native to the Port City of Mobile, Alabama. If you’ve never been, it’s the birthplace of Mardi Gras. The home of sprawling ancient oaks, turpentine filled pines, and blossoming magnolias. The porch ceilings are characteristically painted “haint blue”, (it helps keep the bugs away, in our sweltering heat), but mostly, it’s just part of our charm. I love the “old soul”, side of the South… The good food, moss covered deltas, dark past, and kind people. You’ll inevitably see those things shine through in my writing.

I’m a believer in writing things down. I think it helps you understand the world better and feel less alone in it. That’s why I write about God’s beauty and holiness, not to explain it, but in an endeavor to understand it. That often looks like me stumbling around dumbfounded, finding pieces of his promises.

You’ll hear about my seeking Christ, and the tangible ways He is making Himself known to me. There is also much here that speaks of coming home to Him.

I’m a nonprofit advocate, and the former Director of ReProgram for Ransom Ministries. There I taught job, and life skills to women coming out of poverty, and addiction. I’m also a merchant of old things. Stop by my shop, The Spectre Shelf… There, you will find the loveliest vintage, and handmade pieces, in an elegantly eerie setting. Each item you will find in my shop, is from a home or hand in the deep South.

If you have questions or would like to connect, please feel free to reach out in the “Contact Me”, page. I’m delighted you stopped by, and I’d love to hear from you.
